We're based at 250 W Main St in Lexington and work jobs across the surrounding area, not just downtown. Wilmore sits about 13 miles out, Versailles 14 miles, Midway 16 miles, Winchester another 16, and Paris around 18 miles from our door to yours. That's the practical radius we work inside - close enough that a truck can get to a broken spring or a stuck door the same day in most cases, without tacking on a long-haul fee for the drive.
The service area covers roughly 19,000 households, most of them owner-occupied houses rather than rentals, spread across a handful of distinct pockets of town rather than one uniform subdivision. That matters for quoting because a door in an older part of the area and a door in a newer build often need different parts entirely, even if they're the same size opening. When you call, tell us which part of town you're in - it helps us guess at door age and hardware before we even pull up.

A quote is only as good as what we know before we show up. Over the phone or through a request, we can give you a real number if you can tell us: the door's width (single or double), whether it's steel, wood, or aluminum, roughly how old it is, and what it's actually doing - won't open, opens but slams down, makes a grinding noise, opener runs but door doesn't move, that kind of detail. A photo of the springs and the track helps more than a paragraph of description.
What we can't price sight-unseen: anything involving a bent track, a door that's come off its rollers, or damage where we can't tell if the panel, the frame, or the opening itself took the hit. Torsion springs and extension springs are priced differently, and from the driveway we usually can't tell which one your door has without looking at the header above the door. Openers are the same story - a chain-drive unit from the 1980s and a belt-drive unit installed last year don't take the same parts, and guessing wrong on the phone just means a second trip.
Most of the housing here went up between 1956 and 1991, with a lot of it dating to the 1960s and '70s, so we see plenty of original hardware still bolted to newer doors that got swapped in later. That mismatch is common enough that we always confirm what's actually mounted before quoting a repair, not what year the house was built.
